There is a major change happening quietly but rapidly in the seniors and retirement accommodation sectors.
The stereotypical image of the cardigan-clad retiree gazing wistfully at a rose bush is very much a thing of the past.
There is a new consumer coming through and they are more adventurous, spirited and looking for a place with life and energy rather than the placid and unremarkable.
“Parque Vista on Seville” at Holland Park will be that place.
It is a new style of accommodation for a new style of senior backed by the expertise and experience of Southern Cross Care, one of Queensland’s most respected seniors living providers.
Modern, luxurious, open and connected with the surrounding community “Parque Vista” has a personality of its own. That personality comes from its place-marker: Seville Road.
Southern Cross Care and the design team have taken some of the personality and flair of its namesake, the modern city of Seville in Spain, and added it to this contemporary development.
Touches of vibrant colour, life and energy will be found on every level and in every part of the lifestyle at Parque Vista on Seville.
It is multistorey living with wide windows and even wider views over the treetops to the parks and surrounding areas.
The first phase of this exciting new development was announced on Thursday 10th December with the Archbishop of Brisbane, The Most Reverend Mark Coleridge turning the first sod of soil – donning shovel, hard hat and high viz vest! These exceptional retirement apartments add another outstanding dimension to the already highly renowned Duhig Village Residential Aged Care on site at Holland Park.
“This marks a new and important beginning for Southern Cross Care and Duhig Village ” said The Most Reverend Archbishop. “Providing a genuine home away from home can be a difficult time in our later years or it can be one of the richest moments of life”.
Witnessed by a gathering of local community members, many of which have been eagerly awaiting the news of this development, the afternoon was a tremendous success. Guests were able to enjoy a preview of what this fantastic new community will offer.
Mr Peter Bell, Southern Cross CEO made special welcome to honoured guests that have expressed an interest in being part of the new community at Parque Vista on Seville.
“This is a significant day for Southern Cross Care. What we are building here is not only a Retirement Village, it’s more than that – this building is designed to bridge the gap between aged care and retirement living and with our range of integrated services we believe that this building will empower residents to remain independent longer, and if desired, delay entry to residential aged care” said Mr Bell.
“I am absolutely delighted to be able to share this event with so many interested people. We have been quite amazed at the level of genuine interest from those eagerly awaiting this moment. Southern Cross Care have taken the time to listen to what the local Seniors’ community want and as a result, Parque Vista on Seville has come to life. We say “Viva La Vida”.
Naturally, being a Southern Cross Care development (an initiative of The Knights of the Southern Cross), expert staff and wonderful facilities are guaranteed, to ensure the best of attention at all times.
Parque Vista on Seville is an exciting new apartment offering and Southern Cross Care look forward to the first of its new residents when complete in mid 2017.
Viva La Vida!
