Community Care Services

Southern Cross Care (Qld) Community Services began its operations in 1979 and joined Southern Cross Care Queensland in 2002. Southern Cross Care Community Services provides services throughout South East Queensland but mainly in Brisbane, on the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, Ipswich and Logan.

Our belief is that everyone should be allowed to choose to live in his or her home for as long as possible. This is part of our commitment to value and respect human life and to encourage all our clients to get the most out of their lives now. Our community services provide in-home support for those more elderly who choose to stay in their own homes longer, for those with disabilities and other clients needing in-home support. Community care services can also be offered at many of our retirement villages.

We operate under Government funded schemes for in-home support and disability support services, and we provide a fast and effective ‘fee for service’ structure. This covers preventive services, such as:

Quarterly Health Assessments
Preventative Health Screens
Environment Scan to check everything is set up safely in your home, like oven tops, heaters, stairs and railings.

Southern Cross Care (Qld) Inc is small and flexible enough to offer an immediate response. You won’t be forced to plough through piles of red tape or join long wait lists before you receive some help. We currently have vacancies in a number of funding streams and can take on any fee paying client immediately.
