Southern Cross Care Allora

SCC_Allora.jpgWith 2 aged care facilities within close proximity to each other, Southern Cross Care Allora offers care to residents with varying levels of care need.

Allora Nursing Home (High Care)

For those who require a higher level of nursing care, this 21 bed aged care facility provides care according to individual needs. Most residents have his or her own room, special dietary needs are catered for and all staff are focused on meeting individual care needs (providing care with dignity).

The Homestead Hostel (Low Care)

The Homestead is a 28 bed aged care facility is provided for residents able to enjoy a little more independence. There is an additional room dedicated for respite, to provide a break for dedicated full time careers.

The Homestead is based around the own home concept with residents enjoying the freedom to come and go as they please but with the added benefit of a laundry service, shared dining and regular companionship.

Our personal carers are available to help with dressing, showering and other personal needs as required. The focus is to keep residents engaged and enjoying life, so our Diversional Therapist organises an array of activities and outings each day.

The Homestead provides limited Ageing in Place.

Our resident's food preferences, dislikes, cultural needs and nutrition requirements are considered and feedback on this service is always welcomed.

There is a Food Safety Plan and full HACC Certification in place to ensure that the service provided meets required Standards. The service is available to all HACC eligible clients and all clients referred will receive the service as there is no waiting list.
