Specialist Practitioners

Our residential aged care teams are highly skilled and have access to knowledge and resources to support you with your decisions about how you would like to live your life and how we can best support this. Qualified Nursing and Care staff provide 24 hour assistance to support your wellbeing. All are supported by our specialised corporate clinical support team.

These specialist practitioners provide care practices that are in the forefront of current thinking to enhance the health care required for an older population. We provide the highest standard of Person Centered Care for every client, respecting individual choice, privacy and dignity 24 hours a day and have excellent partnerships with local health care teams.

Our Advanced Care Planning facilitators consider it a privilege to be able to have a conversation with you and your chosen representative, inclusive of the broader health care teams and GP, to inform the decisions you make, in how you choose to live life. This supports your wishes to be communicated and respected if you are unable to do this yourself into the future.

Respite / Short Stay

We all know regular time off for careers has a direct relationship with residents staying at home longer.
We offer short term stays from a few days to several weeks. This is ideal when carers are or have been unwell or are planning a holiday. Respite provides an opportunity to trial living at St Mary’s before permanently moving in. At Southern Cross Care we are committed to great care that focus’ on the person and facilitate unique services so quality of life is enabled for all.

Accommodation Options

For each of the accommodation types you have a range of payment options being a one off, upfront refundable accommodation deposit (RAD), or a daily accommodation payment (DAP), or a combination of both. Discuss the payment options with the Facility Manager prior to entry.

The payment options provided below are based on the maximum room prices and are not applicable to Government supported customers. A basic daily fee of up to 85% of the Australian single aged care pensions will also be payable.*
