Everything you need to know about visiting our residential aged care homes
At Southern Cross Care Queensland, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for everyone in our community. Every person matters, and the health and wellbeing of our residents and staff remain our highest priority. We continue to take a careful approach to safeguarding our community against Acute Respiratory Infections, including COVID-19, influenza, and RSV. Following a thorough review by our Infection Prevention and Control Leads, we’ve made adjustments to our visitation protocols. Routine Rapid Antigen Testing (RAT) for staff and visitors is no longer required when entering our Residential Aged Care homes. However, in the event of an exposure or outbreak, RAT testing may be reinstated as a precautionary measure.
