The supply of workforce housing is a critical component of building a sustainable aged care workforce. For regional and remote communities, this is even more critical, and there is a clear need to support people to choose work in the regions – where they are so needed. That’s why, as part of our Master Plan and redevelopment and expansion at Illoura Village, Chinchilla, we’re building a new 8-unit housing complex to accommodate staff. It will be available this year and increase the housing accommodation we already supply to staff on-site.
