Duhig Village welcomes new residential manager

16 July 2020

Southern Cross Care Queensland (SCCQ) is pleased to welcome Mohammed Sardar to the position of Residential Manager, Duhig Village.

Mohammed is an experienced Residential Manager with ten years’ experience in aged care support services in various roles across residential and community services. In his four years with SCCQ, Mohammed has gained valuable experience in managing residential facilities in Illoura Village, Chinchilla, and most recently at St Mary’s Raceview.

Mohammed also brings with him an impressive professional and education background. With a Bachelors of Physiotherapy, Mohammed gained experience working in hospitals and orthopaedic clinics before completing a Master in Health Services Management and a Master in Information Systems Management. In the last decade, he has devoted his professional life to working with older people, something he says he’s always enjoyed.

Picking just one thing as his favourite part of being a Residential Manager is hard, but Mohammed says he particularly loves doing little thing to spoil residents, bringing a smile to their faces and ensuring they’re happy.

Mohammed is looking forward to getting to know the residents and families at Duhig Village, continuing to foster a friendly and professional team which is focused on providing exceptional customer service. As a part of the wider Holland Park community, Mohammed is also looking forward to building strong networks with the people and organisations who help to support Duhig Village, including local doctors, allied health practitioners and hospitals.

When not at work, Mohammed loves spending time with his wife and daughter, who is turning three in October this year. He relaxes by listening to music, singing, going to the gym and Latin dancing.

Mohammed started in his new position on 6 July and says if there was one thing he’d like the community to know about him it’s that: “I am very approachable and a good listener, so please introduce yourself to me. I’m really excited about being part of the Duhig Village family and the wider Holland Park community.”

Please join us in welcoming Mohammed to Duhig Village.
