Introducing our new Residential Manager at Allora Nursing Home

10 January 2025

We are thrilled to welcome Sandy Miller as the new Residential Manager at Allora Nursing Home. With an impressive 50-year career as a Registered Nurse, Sandy has dedicated the last 17 years to management roles in aged care. Her journey into the sector began by chance when she was offered a role as a care manager, which sparked a passion for the field.

Since then, she has completed numerous qualifications and her expertise spans across ACFI consulting, palliative care, and infection prevention and control. Originally from Goulburn, NSW, Sandy has always been drawn to regional areas. After finishing her registration as a nurse, she and her husband moved to Spring Creek in 2018, where they’ve made their home. Their love of travel also took them across Queensland, where Sandy completed various contracts for aged care organisations before returning to Spring Creek last year.

Now, as Residential Manager at our Allora Nursing Home, Sandy is excited to be closer to home and to see opportunities for growth within the sector. She is passionate about mentoring younger professionals and sharing her wealth of experience to help shape the future of aged care.

Outside of work, Sandy enjoys crafting, with hobbies including knitting, crochet, painting, and needlework and is also a huge music enthusiast. We welcome Sandy to the SCCQ family.
