On Thursday, 21 November, we gathered for our 2024 Chair’s Dinner, a special evening celebrating the winners of our SCCQ Employee Excellence Awards. This annual event honours team members who go above and beyond, embodying our core values of Service, Courage, and Compassion in everything they do.
This year, we’re thrilled to recognise two outstanding individuals who have made an incredible impact and are the 2024 overall winners of our Employee Excellence Awards:
🏆 Leadership Excellence Award: Robyn Daskein
As Care Governance Manager based at our Support Centre, Robyn demonstrated exceptional leadership by stepping into the role of Residential Manager at St Anne’s in Broken Hill for over six months. Through her unwavering dedication, she restored quality standards, achieved reaccreditation, and rebuilt trust among families, residents, and staff—all with love, consistency, and focus.
🏆 Known & Loved Stars Award: Marie Pyle
A Personal Carer at SCC St Mary’s, Raceview, Marie is a true jack-of-all-trades, excelling in roles from lifestyle assistant to trainer and admin support. Her ability to adapt and her willingness to share her knowledge with a positive attitude inspire everyone around her. Whether providing hands-on care or mentoring new staff, Marie consistently goes the extra mile.
Our CEO Jason Eldering congratulated the winners and expressed gratitude to all SCCQ staff, along with our Chair, Board and Committee members, and Executive Leadership Team.
“Our people are the heart of everything we do. Their dedication and compassion have shaped SCCQ into the incredible organisation it is today. Together, we’ve made a real difference in the lives of those we serve, and I’m confident we’ll continue to achieve great things in the future,” said Jason.
