Thanks to the generosity of our Caloundra Rise Retirement Living residents, and a thriving example of how an integrated community can work together, our SCC Caloundra Aged Care residents now have a new and improved Wellness Room to enjoy.
In 2022, ladies from our Caloundra Rise Retirement Village Craft Group raised funds through their craft stall sales to support our Aged Care home which is co-located onsite. These funds were able to purchase a new wall mural and water feature as a lovely addition to the home’s onsite Wellness room.
These two new items are now taking pride of place in the wellness room, contributing to a relaxing and inviting space for a wellness program being run by the lifestyle team. As part of the program, residents will get to enjoy some massage, paraffin wax bath, pampering, exercise, meditation and virtual reality.
SCC Caloundra Residential Manager, Karen Wilson is grateful for the contribution from the Retirement Living Community, “We are so lucky at SCC Caloundra to have Retirement Living, Residential Aged Care, and Home Care all together to truly build communities where best lives are lived.
“We cannot thank the craft ladies enough for their generous donation as well as the time they take to create such wonderful things to enable their craft stalls to take place.” Said Karen.
