Art from the Heart exhibition at Edens Landing

22 January 2025

Edens Landing aged care home recently came alive with colour and creativity, hosting its first-ever Art from the Heart exhibition. The event showcased the artistic talents of our residents, thanks to the vision and dedication of Constance Amoore (Connie), an art lover who now calls Edens Landing home.

Since joining the Edens Landing community, Connie has brought her love of painting to life through weekly Friday art classes, inspiring her fellow residents to tap into their creativity. While she had never led a class before, Connie decided to take on the challenge, motivated by a simple philosophy: “Creativity takes courage, but as long as we’re having fun, that’s what matters!”

The exhibition featured an array of masterpieces created by the residents, each piece reflecting the individuality and talent of its artist. Sophie, one of our residents and a budding artist, shared her gratitude for Connie’s encouragement: “Connie is wonderful. She got all the ladies who didn’t think they could paint to pick up a brush and create art.”

The Art from the Heart exhibition wasn’t just about showcasing beautiful artwork – it was a heart-warming reminder of the power of creativity to bring people together.
The buzz of pride and accomplishment filled the air as residents, families, and staff admired the incredible pieces on display.

Thanks to Connie’s dedication, the Edens Landing community has been transformed into a hub of artistic energy and connection, proving that it’s never too late to discover a new passion
