27 May 2026
From 27 May to 3 June, Southern Cross Care joins communities across the country in recognising National Reconciliation Week as a time to reflect, learn and take meaningful steps towards a more inclusive future.
This year’s theme, All In, calls on all Australians to play their part in advancing reconciliation. It reminds us that lasting change comes from shared commitment through understanding, respect and action in our everyday lives.
At Southern Cross Care, reconciliation is an important part of who we are. Guided by our Catholic ethos and our belief that every person matters, we are committed to building relationships grounded in respect, compassion and inclusion. Over the past two years, our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) has supported us to listen, learn and strengthen our foundations.
We are proud to continue this journey, with our Innovate RAP recently endorsed by Reconciliation Australia. This next phase will guide us to take more meaningful and measurable action, deepening our engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and embedding reconciliation more strongly across our services, workplaces and communities.
National Reconciliation Week is a reminder that reconciliation is an ongoing, shared responsibility. At Southern Cross Care, we remain committed to creating communities where everyone feels known, valued and respected.
